The book prints twelve templates. This takes those twelve considerably further and adds twenty-eight more, each one written out in full with an example of it doing real work.
A template on its own is close to useless. You read it, you agree with it, and then at the moment you need it you can’t remember what goes in the third line. So every template here is followed by a worked example: the situation, the prompt as it would actually be typed, and what changes when the job changes. The first two examples label their parts. After that the strong prompts run as plain prose, because that’s how anyone writes at speed.
